The D23 Expo is typically held in Anaheim on odd years. Disney uses the fan convention to unveil new theme park attractions.

D23 previously postponed the Destination D: Fantastic Worlds fan convention planned for 2020 at Walt Disney World in Florida until 2021 due to the pandemic.

“We plan to announce a new date for Destination D later this year and will continue to host exclusive virtual events throughout 2020,” D23 posted to Twitter in June.
