Families celebrate Labor Day however they can

Across Orange County, families spent Monday relaxing, whether at the beach, at a local park or in their own back yards.

Relaxing, and maybe not sweating quite as much as the previous few days as the sun seemed to take it a little easier for the holiday as well.

After a summer like no other, folks celebrated a Labor Day like no other as coronavirus concerns still restrict activities.

Orange County leaders expect the region will be able to drop a tier today, Sept. 8, on the state’s four-tier monitoring system, which would allow the easing of some restrictions on local business and start a countdown for schools to be allowed to resume at least some in-person learning if the speed and spread of the virus continues to trend in favorable directions.
