Orange motorcyclist dies after weekend crash in Long Beach

A 24-year-old Orange man died this week, a few days after the motorcycle he was riding collided with another vehicle in Long Beach over the weekend, police said Wednesday.

Derrick Mora was riding a 2020 Honda motorcycle going west on Pacific Coast Highway just west of Ximeno Avenue at around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, when the motorcycle collided with a 2012 Porsche Panamera, Long Beach police said in a statement. The driver of the Porsche pulled out from a parking lot and in front of Mora, when he collided with the car, police said.

Mora was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries on Tuesday.

Distracted or impaired driving were not considered to be factors in the crash, police said.
