The Angels have signed right-hander Jake Faria to a minor league deal.
Faria, 27, did not pitch in the majors in 2020, but he pitched 170 innings over parts of the previous three years with the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers, posting a 4.54 ERA with 8.1 strikeouts per nine innings.
A product of Gahr High in Cerritos, Faria was a 10th-round pick of the Rays in 2011. In his rookie year in 2017, he had a 3.43 ERA in 16 games, including 14 starts.
